LINC Air’s system protocol and technology are thought out in the smallest detail, providing an excellent reserve for further modernization of the devices using it and the system itself. LINC Air technology facilitates a data transmission system for the Internet of Things (IoT). It is designed to build wireless control networks that monitor and collect data from energy meters, sensors, and other electronic and executive devices. LINC system is universal, unlimitedly scalable, and can be used both in local applications and within the global infrastructure.

LINC Air technology is specifically designed to work with high energy efficiency through devices adapted for fully autonomous operation. The system provides independent multi-user access to end devices, including civil defense and emergency services for use in emergencies. All end devices of the system are available for real-time control (including stand-alone and mobile systems) without the need for an internet connection.

LINC provides better radio penetration than any other existing short to medium radio protocol commercially available today, including ZigBee, Z Wave, PowerG, Wi-Fi, LoRaWan, NB-IoT, and Bluetooth. It is energy efficient and easy to integrate with HTTPGet or APIs. LINC Air provides an extended range of connectivity, high efficiency, penetration, high security level, and ease of integration at a low cost. The system can be scaled to great extent. Its implementation is not limited to monitoring and data collection systems, making it an ideal and complete solution for the Internet of Things.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies are not suitable for un-powered wireless sensors due to power consumption and battery life. Existing IoT technologies such as Zigbee, Z-wave, and PowerG have a limited coverage range. Therefore, you need to be very close to a hub to keep the battery life and repeat the signal constantly for coverage. With LINC Air’s broad coverage, repeaters are not required, and the device battery life is preserved. In a standard residential or commercial building, LINC can support up to 1000 devices with a real coverage of up to 400 meters and no use of repeaters. In contrast, other protocols can support only up to 300 devices using around 80 repeaters to enhance the signal.

LINC Air is a software-defined protocol that makes data transfer efficiency and integration easy (using open APIs), allowing any existing wireless device to be integrated into the Operators IoT ecosystem very quickly.

For the interconnection of system nodes, any transport level can be used, including IP, RS485, RS232, CAN, ZigBee, Z-Wave, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NB-IoT, LTE. LTE-M, EC-GSM, GSM / GPRS / 3G, LoRaWaN, and other proprietary and open data transmission systems. However, the greatest efficiency surpassing all of these systems is achieved by using LINC protocol directly on top of the physical layer, which enables organizing constant two-way communication with remote devices and sensors, having constant access to devices, fully manage the devices, configure and parameterize them, change the firmware, remotely change the tariff schedule, and receive additional data (data archives, event archives, power profiles, etc.).

LINC uses off-shelve RF radio components for low hardware cost in sensors and hubs, making it the most cost-effective solution ideal for smart home and smart city automation.
